Join us for a three-part series of virtual workshops focusing on the intersection of art and science. Go behind the scenes and learn how Met scientists and conservators study and conserve a vast range of materials in the collection, from textiles to plastics, paint, and stone. Discover how scientific and imaging tools allow us to understand art in new ways, explore the process of inquiry involved in authenticating works of art, and learn how conservators determine how to care for objects in the collection. Work with Met educators and fellow teachers to share practical classroom strategies for the arts and science.
These workshops build on the video series MetKids Microscope.
Fee: $25. Advance registration is required.
Please note: These live workshops take place on Zoom. Space is limited; advance registration is required. Registration closes on Monday, February 28, 2022, 11:59 pm (ET), or when registration is full.
