The Met Apollo Circle is a dynamic group of young patrons of the arts who enjoy a closer connection to the Museum.

As an Apollo Circle Member or Patron, you will enjoy exclusive access to the Museum, and get to know other young art-lovers in their twenties and thirties at private receptions and programs.

The Apollo Circle

The Apollo Circle is an important part of The Met’s philanthropic community. You provide our curators, educators, and conservators with a reliable source of funding that enables the Museum to meet the needs of our diverse audiences. In this very direct way, you allow The Met to serve as the place where anyone can encounter great works of art.

Apollo Circle

$1,200 per year

For up to two members, ages 21-39.

Apollo Circle Members enjoy monthly Apollo-specific programming. Events include an evening with the Museum’s Director and a private viewing of the Costume Institute with a curator. Apollo Circle Members also receive the Museum Patron benefits—including invitations to evening receptions, Preview Days, and Morning Hours, as well as access to the Balcony Lounge

Within the limits prescribed by law, $553 is not tax-deductible.
- Apollo Exclusive events range in format but include opportunities to learn and socialize with other young patrons. Events include Evening with the Director, Roof Garden Reception, Oktoberfest at the Cloisters, Private viewing of The Costume Institute, etc. (6 total)
- Access to 52 past episodes of Curator's Cut: experience The Met collection in a web series of short presentations by Met Curators and Conservators designed to bring Members and Patrons into a more intimate view of the Museum’s permanent and featured collection.
- Every season at The Met brings compelling new exhibitions that you’ll always remember. Like a perfect wine pairing, complement your in-person visit to Member Preview Days, with an in-depth online tour. Three times a year, Met thought leaders create an immersive 15-minute tour, highlighting behind-the-scenes stories not available to the public. Watch an episode to prepare for your upcoming visit, or watch afterwards to deepen your experience.

- Like strolling the galleries on a private, after-hours walking tour, this new digital series focuses on The Met’s vast collection and the many contemporary interpretations that enhance our understanding. Apollo Circle Patron

$3,500 per year

For up to two members, ages 21-45.

Apollo Circle Patrons experience even deeper access to The Met. Receive all the benefits as Apollo Circle Members, plus additional behind-the-scenes events such as tours of a Conservation Lab and artists' studios. See full listing of benefits below.

- Apollo Patron events are small intimate experiences that include a behind-the-scenes tour of a Museum storage room or conservation lab, as well as a private collection visit (Approximately 4 per year)
- Access to 52 past episodes of Curator's Cut: experience The Met collection in a web series of short presentations by Met Curators and Conservators designed to bring Members and Patrons into a more intimate view of the Museum’s permanent and featured collection.

When do Memberships begin and can I delay the start?

Your Membership is active from the date of purchase. Memberships cannot be delayed and are active from the date of purchase. We recommend purchasing your personal or gift Membership closer to the date you would like it to begin.
Can I purchase a Membership as a gift?

A Membership at The Met makes the perfect gift for all occasions! Select the level you'd like from the options at the top of the page, and you'll be able to enter the recipient's information on the next page.
